Demolition & Asbestos Removal at Former Fish Processing Factory, Grimsby.

A.R.T. was awarded this contract to demolish various buildings in the port of Grimsby.  The project was made up of many buildings using many different buildings materials and with the buildings ranging from 19th – 20th century.  A major train line through to Cleethorpes was in use during demolitions and A.R.T worked closely with Network Rail to implement various safety measures.  Asbestos removal was also carried out prior to demolition.  Works were completed on time and to budget.  A full galvanised palisade fence was also erected in the gap alongside the train line where the buildings once stood.

Demolition of Sainsbury’s Store, Lincoln

A.R.T. has completed many successful contracts on behalf of Sainsbury’s and this was no exception.  The works involved the full demolition of JSR, Existing Entrance, Cash Office, ATM & Toilet facilities as well as most of the back of house walls etc.  As with all our retail contracts works were undertaken in a live environment.  Working with the store and the public with extra banksmen, time limits on our works and general extra hands-on management with permits and surveys were employed.  With a mixture of hand demolition and machine work, the works were completed ahead of schedule.
